There is no universal “best” purchase in How to Fish. The right upgrade is the one that makes your current island more consistent: a lure that narrows the pool, a weapon that makes an encounter safer, or a tool that stops costly mistakes.

A practical order

1. Buy the lure tier for the fish you can actually reach.
2. Keep enough cash to retry a boss requirement.
3. Upgrade combat tools when the next encounter, not a price tag, is blocking progress.
